Resist Change

Threats to power, position, wealth, status, or comfort will be met with all forms of resistance.

Changing the financial system, even adding more local control of the financial system, will predictably be resisted by Wall Street banks and the monetary system they collectively created and control. They are speculators not capitalists. Real capitalism is at the community level. At the global level it is slavery (without being named) and corruption (in the between the laws). Doing this will be resisted by large corporations—through propaganda (advertising), self-interested legislation and subsidies, through patents and overwhelming legal challenges, to name some of the tactics we can anticipate. Of course the biggest advantages that large and multinational business have is the ability to provide a good or service at a lower price than we can in our neighborhoods. Keep in mind that it is not so much economies of scale and efficiency as it is externalizing the costs (shifting them on others—mostly our children) and slave-like wages in other countries. We simply must resist regardless of the costs, for the sake of our children and the planet—and our dignity. Pay ourselves fair wages and fair prices for work done locally.
