I hope to have many map views of Columbia Valley, informed by places that will be stored in Neo4j. We will have associated graphs that lead via links to maps.

Can OpenStreet Maps be updated by local residents? If so how? It looks like all you have to do is go to their website, create a user account, take a tutorial and begin modifying the base map. Cool.

Can we view different layers? Streets, Topology, Satellite? Can we open the map in its own web page? YES, by using WEBLINK with url. Then clicking on any of the markers will open to that url.
