What is an ideal population size or density for any particular locale?
How can we think about the relationship between population size and local capacity of neighborhoods to flourish by taking care of themselves.
We can think in terms of current carrying capacity with or without distant supply chains. Say 99% of materials and energy come from the local Watershed.
