Community Health Worker

When this role is funded and controlled, not by the neighborhood, but by the payer, hospital, or physician it loses more variety than it gains and is less able to support the Patient than the Clinical Care Specialist, Community Health Worker role.

So, neighborhoods must support their own Community Health Workers or risk disability and death. It is that stark. Well now you know. What will you do, rely on a system that is logically incapable. It is not a matter of policy, money, lack of intent. The medical system does not and can never have requisite variety to support people well. Of course the less effective the medical system the richer it becomes. That is also built in and does not require negative intent. Money simply nudges economic systems toward more money, in this case it means more illness or at least less health.
