The opening mood toward the future instead of the closing mood--resignation. Ambition is a mood of personal possibility and agency when anticipating the future. This mood is diminished by closing moods to the past, present, and future--resentment, anxiety, and resignation.
Closing moods are stronger than opening moods so they must be addressed directly before opening moods can prevail.
